The defence lawyer representing accused one to four in the Senzo Meyiwa trial told the Pretoria High Court yesterday that he has an eyewitness who saw Kelly Khumalo mistakenly shooting Senzo Meyiwa.
Teffo said the witness will testify that Kelly Khumalo mistakenly shot Senzo Meyiwa using Longwe Twala’s revolver.
Afriforum is representing Meyiwa family and ENCA NEWS spoke to Berry Bateman who was speaking on behalf of the organisation.
Berry Bateman said Teffo must bring forward the eyewitness so that the case is solved as soon as possible.
He said the evidence will set those who are being accused free if they are not guilty. Kelly Khumalo’s lawyer was furious and she said all this was discriminatory to the singer.
Kelly’s lawyer and the songstress refuted claims that she killed her then boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa.
