Flood Hit eThekwini Municipality to Spend R8.3 Million on Parties & Events

There are reports that the flood hit eThekwini Municipality will be spending R8.3 million on parties and events.

The money will be spent by the eThekwini Municipality business support, markets and tourism unit.

The money will be spent on concerts amongst other things. The Municipality is still trying to fix infrastructure that was damaged by floods and landslides last month.

Other political parties have agreed to support events such as the Durban July that have proven an economic benefit to eThekwini.

Other parties include Fact Durban Rocks and more. The Municipality needs close to R4 billion to repair damaged infrastructure.
