The Citizen reports that Reeva Steenkamp’s parents Barry and June Steenkamp are preparing themselves to meet Oscar Pistorius who murdered their daughter in 2013.

Reeva Steenkamp was shot dead by her then boyfriend Oscar Pistorius on the 14th of April in 2013. It’s now over 9 years since the passing of Barry and June Steenkamp’s daughter.

The parents are still grieving and they have not yet forgiven Oscar Pistorius, a former South African professional sprinter.

Barry and June Steenkamp have made it clear that Oscar Pistorius is not yet ready for placement on parole.

The parents have been preparing to meet their daughter’s killer face to face as they participate in the victim offender dialogue for Oscar’s parole application.

Oscar Pistorius was first charged with culpable homicide before the charge was upgraded to murder. He was then given 13 years of imprisonment.
