Mbombela Mayor Speaks at Hillary Gardee’s Memorial Service

ENCA NEWS reported that Mbombela Mayor Sibongile Makushe was at Hillary Gardee’s Memorial Service.

She said that Hillary Gardee’s death should not be in vain. A candle lit prayer meeting was held on Friday at the family home ahead of her funeral.

Makushe called for the end in gender based violence. She said women are not safe in this country.

Hillary Gardee was last seen on Friday last week at a supermarket in Mbombela. Her dead body was later found on Tuesday in a tree plantation outside Nelspruit.

She was shot from the back of her head. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Our deepest condolences to the Gardee family and friends.
