Sibongile Mani Is Not Dead, She is in Prison

Sibongile Mani was sentenced to 5 years in prison after she was found guilty of stealing R818 000 designated for disadvantaged University students.

Mani was a Finance and Accounting student at Walter Sisulu University before she was arrested. She received R14 million of National Student Financial Aid Scheme funds instead of R1.400.

The money was mistakenly deposited into her bank account in 2017. Instead of reporting the matter she went on a shopping spree.

There has been news circulating that Sibongile Mani is dead. The news regarding her passing is fake as Mani is serving her sentence in jail.
