South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was in Kenya to pay his last respects to the late Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki.

The funeral proceedings of the late great statesman were held at Nyawo National stadium in Nairobi.

Ramaphosa likened Kibaki to South Africa’s liberation stalwart and first president of South Africa Nelson Mandela.

He described the late head of state as great leader who united Kenyans and developed the East African country.
