Kelly Khumalo’s lawyer Magdalene Moonsamy was instructed to leave court this morning. It came moments before court proceedings in Senzo Meyiwa’s trial began.
Moonsamy told the media that she was not surprised by the judge’s decision because an objection was raised on Friday about her presence during the proceedings.
She said she has never had access to any documents besides the charge sheet. Moonsamy revealed that other participants have access to more documents relating to this matter.
The lawyer added that her role has not depleted in this matter as she is going to make formal submissions.
She said courts must allow her client in this matter it’s Kelly Khumalo to have representation in the court since she is a victim of charge number three which is robbery with aggravated circumstances.
Moonsamy went further to reveal that the State is uncertain if Kelly Khumalo is a witness or not. The judge told Moonsamy that the purity of the court proceedings have to be protected.
