King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, the Premier of KZN Sihle Zikalala, and the patrons of the Motsepe Foundation will visiting the hardest hit families in iTshelimnyama, west of Durban today.

President Cyril Ramaphosa visited Durban on Wednesday to assess the severity of the damage caused by floods.

Durban and other parts of KwaZuluNatal were hard hit by torrential rains which left a trail of destruction as floods and landslides wrecked havoc across the Province.

The death toll is currently sitting and 395 and is expected to rise as more bodies are being discovered.

Seven people remain missing in iTshelimnyama including a two month old baby. More rains are expected in the Province which will exacerbate the situation.

The floods destroyed water pumps and electric poles leaving communities in dire need of basics.
