Tributes are pouring in for former Human Rights Commissioner Rhoda Kadalie who passed away in the United States of America.

Rhoda was an African academic and a gender activist, she died at the age of 68. She was South Africa’s Human Rights Commissioner from 1995 until her much public resignation in 1997.

She has been described as someone who had deep love for people and South Africa as a country.

Rhoda had a fallout with ANC after realising that there was discrimination against coloured people in the country even after independence in 1994.
