Hundreds of people have died in devastating flooding in the City of Durban and other parts of KwaZuluNatal Province.

Torrential rains have left thousands of homes destroyed. Roads, bridges and other critical infrastructure has been damaged aswell by Floods and landslides.

The military has been helping to take residents to safety. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa visited the coastal city of Durban on Wednesday.

The City was caught off guard as it was not prepared for such rains and mudslides that wrecked untold havoc in Durban.

Over 250 people are reported to have been killed by the landslides and incessant rains. In 2019, atleast 60 people were left dead when a similar weather occurrence came to KZN.
