The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial began today, on the 11th of April 2022 nearly eight years after his death.
No one has been prosecuted yet in connection with the murder that took place in 2014, at Kelly Khumalo’s house in Voosloorus.
The trial of the four accused murder suspects is taking place at the Pretoria High Court.
Family members of the late soccer star will be at the Court. Advocate Gerrie Nel will lead the proceedings in Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial.
Senzo Meyiwa’s brother, Sifiso Meyiwa revealed that he has been threatened ahead of the Court proceedings.
He said one of the investigators in the case called him on the 29th of March. She said Sifiso needed to be investigated on corruption charges.
He added that they threatened him because he discovered something about his brother’s murder case.
