South African former soccer star and manager Shakes Mashaba has lost his Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG due to non payment of debt.
The former Bafana Bafana coach was supposed to pay R20 000 to settle his debt but he did not. The debt accumulated to more than R1 million in arrears.
After breaching his contract with BMW Financial Services, the agreement was cancelled and his Mercedes-Benz auctioned.
All this happened back in 2017 and the vehicle was sold at an estimated value of R584 000. Shakes was supposed to pay a R20 000 balance to the bank.
The monthly installments accumulated to R1.2 million.
