The Supreme Court of Appeal dismissed former President Jacob Zuma’s last attempt to have Prosecutor Billy Downer removed from the case.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) welcomed the dismissal. Zuma’s corruption trial will resume on the 11th of April 2022.

NPA spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga, told the media that the witnesses are ready to give their testimony on the 11th of April.

He added that the former head of state has been deploying delaying tactics regarding his trial which is a waste of state resources.
