Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini was earlier today granted R1500 bail after spending the weekend behind bars.

Dlamini faces charges of house breaking, theft and malicious damage to property aswell as defeating the ends of justice.

His supporters have been outside protesting against his arrest. They all chanted and sang songs of celebration when Nhlanhla came outside the court.

Nhlanhla addressed his supporters from a podium and thanked them for their solidarity. He also thanked them for showing no fear and urged them to continue with their bravery.

He told the crowds not to be intimidated by other organisation trying to break the spirits of the movement.

Dlamini went on to thank his legal team for making his release possible. He said the movement’s actions will be beneficial to all South Africans.

He added that he is not afraid to die and if he gets assassinated, he will die a happy man and that he will tell Steve Biko and Chris Hani about the struggles of the Black Community.
