Flavio Hlabangwane who is being accused of murdering his cousin and girlfriend is fit to stand trial.

This was declared by the Protea Glen Magistrate’s Court after receiving Hlabangwane’s mental evaluation results.

Body parts allegedly belonging to his cousin and girlfriend were found in his fridge in Soweto.

Hlabangwane will be remanded in custody until 20 April when he will find out whether his matter will be heard in the High Court or regional court.

The deceased’s family lawyer revealed that this has been a difficult time for the family and that all they want is closure.

Flavio Hlabangwane was admitted to a psychiatric hospital after he attempted to commit suicide on two separate occasions.
