
On 25 November 2025, South African musician Shebeshxt (real name Lehlogonolo Chauke) appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court for a bail hearing.The case is linked to an incident on 19 October 2025 in Ladanna, Polokwane. He is accused of shooting at another motorist during a road dispute.
Initial charges were attempted murder, malicious damage to property, and unlawful possession of a firearm.During today’s hearing, the State added six more charges, bringing the total to nine. The new charges include further counts of attempted murder and assault.Shebeshxt’s lawyer asked for a postponement because the extra charges were only given to them in court.
The magistrate agreed and postponed the case to 27 November 2025 at 14:00. Bail was not granted, so Shebeshxt stays in custody.He already has a separate case set for trial in February 2026 on charges of attempted murder, rape, kidnapping, and assault.Because of the current case, several of his December and New Year performance bookings have been cancelled.The matter will continue on Thursday.
