During a recent episodes of Podcast and Chill, MacG sparked controversy by assrrting that Maphorisa’s motivations are driven by greed emphasizing his tendency to exploit emerging artists.

In response, Maphorisa defended himself stating that reputable record labels use the same business method he uses hence he is not exploiting anyone.

Maphorisa went on to throw shade at MacG and his podcast crew stating that Sol Phenduka is the smartest one yet he is being underpaid.
