Jacob Zuma Barred From Contesting In 2024 Elections
Former president Jacob Zuma has been barred from participating in the upcoming elections as the presidential candidate because his criminal record.
This was clarified by the Independent Electoral Commision (IEC) on Tuesday.
One of the clauses that they used states that the disqualification ebds five years after the sentence has been completed.

Zuma waa convicted and sentenced to w5 months in prison after he was found guilty of defying a summons to appear before the State Capture Commision in 2021.
