King of the Zulu Nation King Misuzulu KaZwelithini will not be attending the funeral service of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
In 2021, Misuzulu did not attend the funeral services of his parents King Goodwill Zwelithini and Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu.
This is in accordance to Nguni traditions and customs.
Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi was the Zulu Traditional Prime Minister. He was also the founder and President Emeritus of the Inkatha Freedom Party.

He served under King Cyprian Bhekuzulu KaSolomon, King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, and King Misuzulu KaZwelithini.
Buthelezi was instrumental in the installation of Misuzulu as the Zulu Monarch. He passed away on Saturday the 9th of September 2023, at the age of 95.
