Phelo Bala Confirms That He Has Been a Sangoma for Years

Phelo Bala was trending last week after he posted a picture of himself wearing an attire worn by sangomas.

Some were shocked to learn that Bala is a sangoma while others thought he was faking it.

Bala told Zimoja that he has been a sangoma since 2014. He said he accepted the calling and went back to Eastern Cape to fulfil it.

The musician also told the publication that there was nothing fashionable about being a sangoma. He also said if he had a choice he wouldn’t be a sangoma.
