The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumed at the Pretoria High Court. A new piece of evidence suggested that it was Longwe Twala who shot Senzo Meyiwa.
During court proceedings and the cross examining of Tumelo Madlala, the court heard that it was Longwe Twala who shot Senzo Meyiwa.
It was revealed that Chicco Twala’s son shot the late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper and ran away.
Madlala failed to deny nor confirm what was recorded on the statement and read to him.
The court heard that Tumelo was in no position to divulge whether Longwe Twala was the one who pulled the trigger suggesting that he did not see Twala with a gun.
However Madlala could only confirm that after the shooting, Longwe ran away from the scene.
Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead in October 2014 at his then girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s house in Vosloorus.
