Two Zimbabwean domestic workers of popular celebrity and Metro FM DJ, Lerato Kganyago, have been stuck in jail for over six days.

The two married domestic workers are caught in the crossfire after Lerato left her billionaire husband, Thami Ndlala and moved out of the mansion that she shared with in Steyn City.

After Lerato returned to her house in Ruimsing, Ndlala opened a police case of theft against the two domestic workers to spite her as she is close to the domestic workers, who have worked for her for over 10 years.

The two Zimbabwean domestic workers appeared at the Randburg Magistrates court on Friday, 11 November 2022 and were remanded in custody.

On the other hand, Lerato has sent her lawyers to try and get the domestic workers released.

She wrote a statement in which she said the domestic workers did not steal, but were given the items, two Patek Phillippe watches and a television set (All worth R3 million).

The domestic workers, who are husband and wife, are reportedly owed R76 000 by Ndlala for work that they did at his hotel in Northcliff.

They left a 6 year old child at home alone when they were arrested, who is being taken care of by Lerato.

Ndlala and Lerato were married in a lavish traditional wedding in March 2021.

The marriage is reported to have collapsed and Lerato moved back to her house last week after months of friction in the marriage.
