Former Finance and Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba could be investigated and prosecuted based on allegations made by his estranged wife Norma Mngoma.

An updated corrected version of the state capture commission report includes an analysis of Gigaba and Mngoma’s evidence in 2021.

In this version, the commission recommends that law enforcement investigate that evidence and consider possibly prosecuting Gigaba on charges of corruption.

This involves cash payments from the Guptas nine years ago.

Also the possibility of  prosecution for corruption and racketeering in order to establish if Gigaba received money for his wedding and trip to Dubai from the Guptas.

Investigations will establish whether Gigaba received money for renovations to his father’s house and other gifts and gratuities.
