Former Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize opened up about contesting for the ANC Presidency if he gets nominated for the job.

He said there was poverty of leadership in the country aswell as within the African National Congress (ANC).

Mkhize added that there has been a rise in crime, gender based violence and many other social ills in the past few years.

He went further to say that South Africans were suffering economic slavery and political slavery because of lack of leadership.

The former Minister said lack of leadership has forced South Africans to live a life of misery and indignity.
