Carl Niehaus is former President Jacob Zuma’s supporter during good and bad times. He has protested against Ramaphosa but not Zuma.
Yesterday the former President was at the Pietermaritzburg High Court where he was prosecuting State advocate Billy Downer and News24 journalist Karyn Maughan.
After the court proceedings, Zuma addressed his supporters outside the court. Carl Niehaus was seated next to the former head of state.
However things changed quickly when the KwaZuluNatal ANC Provincial chairperson Siboniso Duma arrived.
Niehaus had to give up the chair so that Duma who arrived late could have a chair next to Jacob Zuma.
South Africans are saying Zuma and his supporters are ill-treating Carl Niehaus. They have even accused Niehaus of being Zuma’s puppet.
