Former President Jacob Zuma has confirmed that he has been approached by a number of cadres to avail himself for the position of national chairperson of the ANC.

This was revealed in a statement by the former President ahead of the ANC’s 55th National Conference.

Zuma’s statements came a few hours before the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal announced its support for the former Health Minister Dr. Zweli Mkhize.

The Province is supporting Mkhize for the position of party leader ahead of the national elective conference in December.
