King Charles III Officially Proclaimed as British Monarch

King Charles the third has officially been proclaimed as the new British Monarch. It was an ancient ceremony which was televised for the first time ever.

This of course follows the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth the second on Thursday. She was 96 years old.

The United Kingdom is currently on a ten day mourning period for the late British Monarch who ruled for 70 years.

The ceremony was part of formalities as Charles automatically became the King the moment Queen Elizabeth II passed on.
