Blazing Fire at OR Tambo Airport Damaged Planes

On Monday the runway at South Africa’s busiest Airport, O.R Tambo caught some fire leaving behind a trail of damaged.

A swift response from the emergency crew minimised the damage. Unfortunately some planes were seriously damaged.

Two planes, one belonging to SA Express and the other to ECAir were badly burnt in the inferno. The two planes that were damaged were not in operation.

No casualties or deaths were recorded following the incident. All runways at the airport are still open while the situation is still under surveillance.
