Nomusa Dube-Ncube has finally been sworn in as the new KwaZulu-Natal new Premier following a special sitting of the Provincial legislature on Wednesday.

She becomes the first female to be sworn in as the Premier of KZN since 1994.

Dube-Ncube is replacing the former Premier Sihle Zikalala who resigned last week. She was chosen as the ANC’s preferred candidate to take the job on Monday.

She was sworn in after after beating Mmabatho Tembe of the Democratic Alliance. The news was reported by ENCA NEWS.
