Judgement has been reserved in the case brought by the Legal Practice Council to have Advocate Malesela Teffo struck from the roll.
The Council says Teffo should not be allowed to practice law any longer.
Legal Practice Council Spokesperson, Kabelo Letebele told Newzroom Afrika that what prompted their actions against Teffo are complaints they received against him between 2019 and 2021.
These include 22 misconducts involving Advocate Malesela Teffo. Some complaints include assault, misappropriation of funds also including his actions on the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
Advocate Malesela Teffo was representing four of the five accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
He was arrested during court proceedings at the Pretoria High Court for failing to avail himself before the Hillbrow Magistrate’s court to answer to some charges against him.
