One Person Reportedly Killed in Kagiso Shutdown

One person has been killed in the Kagiso Shutdown,  residents are protesting over the rising crime rates in that area.

The residents said they are tired of Zama Zamas and illegal undocumented miners. They said these groups of people are causing many problems in the community.

Another man who is believed to be a Zama Zama was severely beaten while naked by the angry protesters.

Meanwhile, the Police deployed a chopper and tear gas in areas with abandoned mine shafts to chase away the Zama Zamas.
