The South African entertainment industry is mourning the passing of Thuleleni “Mabongi” Dlamini.
Dlamini died in a blaze of fire in a horrific accident in Dundee, KwaZuluNatal on Wednesday, 20 July 2022.
She was a member of the Maskandi group ‘Othandekile’. The Daily Sun reported that she was heavily pregnant (7 months pregnant) at the time of her passing.
Her mother Thandekile Ngubane (58) told the publication that Thulelani (35) was travelling from Johannesburg to Nkandla with her 6 year old daughter Nokubongwa Hadebe.
Details as to what caused the fire were not revealed.
Thulelani saved her daughter’s life by pushing her out through the window, unfortunately she could not save herself.
