Tumelo Madlala, the late Senzo Meyiwa’s best friend was present when the former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was murdered.
Meyiwa was gunned in October 2014 at his then girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s house in Vosloorus house.
Madlala has revealed that it was Longwe Twala who shot Senzo Meyiwa. Longwe Twala was Zandile Khumalo’s boyfriend at the time.
It is believed that Tumelo called Senzo Meyiwa’s father and told him that the soccer star had been shot by Longwe Twala and that they were taking him to the hospital.
At that time Senzo Meyiwa’s father did not know either Zandile Khumalo or her boyfriend.
Tumelo can not confess to the police because they allegedly conspired to hide the truth regarding the murder. It is also alleged that they also cleaned the murder scene.
There are also reports that Tumelo was threatened, not to tell the truth otherwise he might lose his life.
