Missing University of Free State student found. Kwandiswa Masibonge Xaba, who went missing on 4 June 2022, has been found alive and unharmed.

She was found on Sunday 17 July 2022 in Tembisa, Gauteng.

Xaba, a first-year Bachelor of Science student majoring in Mathematics and Chemistry on the Qwaqwa Campus of the University of the Free State (UFS), is from Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal.

Masibonge was last seen leaving the campus and taking a taxi to an undisclosed location; she was also observed on other video footage in Phuthaditjhaba during the time she was missing.

She is in good health and has been reunited with her family in Ladysmith.

On the 21 June 2022 the Investigator followed new information to Embalenhle and Bergesford where she was seen in the company of unknown people but she was not found in both places.

Her new boyfriend who was with her saw her pictures on the social media and that she is reported missing, he called warrant office Thipa Selepe and told him that he was with her in Thembisa.

On the 17 July 2022 the Investigator and her parents drove to Thembisa and found her. They brought her back home to Newcastle.

She was found still wearing the clothes she was wearing when she reported missing. She did not report any crime or abuse that was committed against her.
