ENCA NEWS reported that President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed his condolences and concern about the deaths of more than twenty people across the country.

All three incidents happened in taverns, fifteen people were shot at a tavern in Soweto. Four were shot in Pietermaritzburg while two people were killed in Katlehong.

Dozens of people were left injured in all the incidents. The president is urging security agencies and community members to bring the perpetrators to book.

The incidents come as South Africa is still mourning the passing of twenty-one teenagers who passed away at Enyobeni tavern in East London a fortnight ago.
