Atleast 21 young people lost their lives in an incident that happened at a tavern in Scenery Park, East London.
The father of one of the victims who spoke to NEWS24 revealed that he realised that his daughter was missing at around quarter to 2 at night.
Xolile Malangeni said his daughter was just 17 years old. He revealed that his 18 year old daughter remained home by the grace of God because they usually go everywhere together.
Malangeni added that his wife and children were crying the whole night after receiving the sad news.

He went further to say it was so hurting to visit the mortuary where he identified his deceased daughter.
