SABC NEWS reported that former State Security Agency Director General Arthur Fraser met with the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, the Hawks.

In a short statement Fraser revealed that this was done to assist them with the criminal charges he laid against President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Arthur Fraser laid charges of kidnapping, money laundering and defeating the ends of justice following a robbery at Ramaphosa’s  Phala Phala farm in 2020 in Limpopo.

Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Nomthandazo Mbambo confirmed the meeting between the Hawks and the former Spy boss Arthur Fraser.

Mbambo told SABC NEWS that Arthur Fraser provided them with more information regarding the case.

She added that investigations were still at the preliminary stage and that the Hawks were not politically influenced in doing their job.
