Sowetan newspaper reported that a delay in the release of DNA and Ballistic results was delaying bail application plans of the two men accused of killing Hillary Gardee.
The accused, Philemon Lukhele and Albert Gama were expected to join the third accused Sipho Mkhatshwa in applying for bail after they had not initially applied for it.
Advocate Ntsika Mpolweni asked the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court to postpone the matter to July 22 as they were waiting for DNA and Ballistic results.
Mpolweni also said they wanted cellphone records which they were going to use to oppose the application.
Hillary Gardee was found dead in a tree plantation outside Nelspruit after she went missing while shopping in the city centre.
She was the daughter of former Economic Freedom Fighters Secretary General Godrich Gardee.
She was shot from the back of her head and police concluded that it was a hit since she was shot execution style. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
