The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has been ongoing at the Pretoria High Court.
A docket from 2019 has been released and it recommended that Kelly Khumalo and Longwe Twala be charged with the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.
The trial has been postponed to Monday next week due to the introduction of the second docket.
In 2019, the Director of Public Prosecutions in Gauteng made a recommendation in the docket that all those who were in the house when Senzo was murdered be charged with taking a life and defeating the ends of justice.
These are Kelly Khumalo, Longwe Twala, Zandile Khumalo, Gladness Ntombi Khumalo, Tumelo Madlala, Mthokozisi Twala and Maggie Phiri who allegedly cleaned the crime scene.
The other docket excluded Kelly Khumalo and the five accused have been in the dock for allegedly killing Meyiwa at his then girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s house in Vosloorus.
The late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was killed in October 2014 in an attempted robbery, it was said back then.
