Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating 70 years of her reign as Britain’s longest-serving monarch,with a four day long holiday that begins Thursday.

The Platinum Jubilee festivities will include parades, street parties and a service in St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.

The purpose of the event is to celebrate the queen’s 96th birthday, which was back in April.

Queen Elizabeth II was crowned at the tender age of 25 in 1952 following the death of her father.
The public holiday is expected to attract as many as 2.6 million visitors to London.
