Zulu King, Misuzulu KaZwelithini has open up about the deadly floods that wrecked untold havoc in Durban and other parts of KwaZuluNatal Province.

He has concurred with what other traditional leaders have been saying about ancestors being angry and that floods are a case.

The Zulu King said rains are supposed to be a blessing to the people but it has turned up to be a curse.

Atleast more than 300 people are recorded to have died in the floods while many are believed to be still trapped underground.

Misuzulu thanked the Motsepe Foundation for their donation of R30 million to aid with the relief efforts across KwaZuluNatal.

Some traditional leaders said ancestors are not happy with how King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu died last year.

The King had a prayer session for the affected victims in the province. KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala and Minister of Cooperative Governance Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma attend the session.
