Former Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini will today learn her fate in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.

The Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court is expected to hand down the sentencing after she was found guilty of perjury.

This is in relation to lying under oath during an inquiry into the SASSA grants in 2017. Dlamini is a repeat offender.

In 2006 she was convicted of fraud in relation to the travelgate. She had abused parliamentary travel vouchers with several ANC MPs.
