South Africa has lost quite a lot of celebrities in the past years and some of them committed suicide. The majority of them will be suffering from depression.
Christopher Kubheka, the actor was popularly known as Bazooka on SABC 1’s Zone14. He also appeared on the fan favourite gun series Yizo Yizo. He committed suicide by hanging on the 12th of June in 2017.
Jabulani Tsambo, popularly known by his stage name HHP committed suicide at his house in October 2018. He revealed that he was suffering from depression.
Shoki Mokgapa, appeared on Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, e.tv drama series Ashes to Ashes and SABC 1’s Intersexions. The award winning actress committed suicide on the 25th of September in 2018.
Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado was a talented Hip-hop musician, he committed suicide on the 23rd of February 2022. He was found hanging at his Johannesburg home by his management.
Veteran actor Patrick Shai was found hanging by his wife Masechaba at their home. He committed suicide in January 2022.
