Bonginkosi “Bobo Mfana Wepiki” Mhlongo’s house was destroyed by fire.

This follows the blaze that engulfed the home of a maskandi artist in Nquthu, in northern KZN, on Wednesday, 16 February, killing the artist and his family.

His niece Nozipho described that a rainstorm broke out, and a fireball exploded through a closed door and rolled towards them.

They ran in all directions, it exploded into flames and ignited the whole room.

Bobo claimed he was alerted by family members that lightning had hit the residence.

It’s anticipated that the damage is estimated at R100 000.

Dr. Nomagugu Ngobese, a cultural specialist, said that the lightning was not natural.

Hence said its necessary to consult a traditional healer to cleanse the house.
