Local events promoter, Exotic, of Pretty Girls Love Amapiano event has issued a letter of demand to South Africa’s DJ Maphorisa of just about P 2million.
The lawsuit follow’s DJ Maphorisa’s failure to show up at the event that was held in Tlokweng late last year.
Sebina said he had booked DJ Maphorisa and paid him R100 000 last year in October but the Amapiano giant did not pitch up.
He also said they have information that DJ Maphorisa was going to Botswana.
He said Maphorisa will also be served with a P1 million summons for event damages.
Confirming the case, Pheli Ndaba Gumede from the Central Police Station Crime Investigation Department said it is true that Sebina had opened a case against the SA artist.
Asked whether they will arrest DJ Maphorisa upon entry into Botswana, Gumede said they haven’t decided on the matter yet because they are still investigating the issue.
He said they have not determined what DJ Maphorisa will be charged with therefore everything will be decided tomorrow.
