Oscar Pistorius fatally shot his girlfriend Reeva Rebecca Steenkamp inside his home, near Pretoria.

Th iincident took place on February 14, 2013.

He claimed that he had mistaken her for a burglar who was hidden inside a locked bathroom and that the shooting was accidental.

Pistorius was subsequently charged with murder.

He was sentenced to 13 years and 5 months.
