Actor and director Shona Ferguson died on the 30th of July at Milpark hospital in Johannesburg. His family said he had Covid-19 complications. His death left Mzansi in grief and in shock.
The passing of Amapiano stars Mpura and Killer Kau also left South Africa in mourning. The duo died in a head on car crash on the N4 in Rusternburg.
Actress Noxolo Maqashalala died in March 2021 and her body was found at her Honeydew home. The cause of her death is not known but forensics revealed that she was dead for a week before she was found.
