eNCA News has reported that the Zulu Traditional Prime minister Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has been admitted to hospital. His family has said there is no need for alarm.
In a statement released today, the family said Mangosuthu Buthelezi is merely undergoing routine medical examination. Mangosuthu got ill on Monday and this raised concern about his blood pressure.
The family said they will address the public when he is discharged from hospital. While 93 year old Buthelezi is retired as the leader of Inkatha Freedom Party, he is an active member of Parliament.
The family spokesperson Bhekuyise Buthelezi said Buthelezi’s blood pressure is now under control and that doctors have not communicated anything different as of today.
Buthelezi concluded by saying Mangosuthu Buthelezi is in high spirits and that more details will be released as soon as possible.
