Former Kaizer Chiefs soccer star Jabu Mahlangu was involved in a car accident on Saturday the 22nd of January 2022. His BMW M4 series was in a head-on collision with a taxi.
The accident that took place in Benoni, Ekurhuleni left some people injured. Reports indicate that Jabu was drunk and was taken to the hospital.
According to the Daily Sun, the soccer star was later discharged but he is still not in good position as he is complaining of chest pains.
Media reports, revealed that Jabu fled the accident scene as he feared for his life after hitting a taxi. His attorney Tony Mathe denied that Jabu fled the scene and that he was drunk.
Ekurhuleni Police Spokesperson Kelebogile Thepa confirmed the accident, she said 12 people were injured. A case has been opened against the SuperSport analyst Jabu.
She added: ” A case of reckless and negligent driving is opened every time there are serious injuries or fatalities. The investigation determines the negligence of any of the involved parties.”
