Actress Gugu Gumede has been playing the role of MamMlambo on the popular SABC 1 telenovela Uzalo ever since the show debuted more than 5 years ago.
The actress has hinted on leaving Uzalo, news that has left most of the show’s viewers worried. On the recent episode of the show, the actress visited the Pastor to reveal that she is leaving KwaMashu for spiritual cleansing.
It is believed that the reasons why Gugu Gumede is leaving Uzalo is so that she pursues her political career.
Gugu Gumede’s mother Zanele KaMagwaza Msibi was a politician and she passed on last year. Zanele was the leader of a political Party known as NFP.

The Party was formed in 2011 by Gugu Gumede’s mother and the actress is tipped to take over the reigns of the Party.
